School & Library Visits

Yes, I do school and library visits!

The closer your school is to where I live in Virginia, the cheaper the show.

And what a show! I read some of my books. The kids meet the actual stuffed animals who inspired the Sock Monkey series. I teach the kids how to draw characters from all the books. When I visit older kids (third grade and up), I ask for volunteers, and the volunteers and I present a Sock Monkey book like a play. With costumes! And scripts! Plus, possible dancing by me. Break dancing, in fact. Really bad break dancing. But break dancing! I mean, come on!

I also do writing and drawing workshops with third, fourth, and fifth graders... and middle schoolers, if they promise to be nice to me.
