Well-dressed snapping turtle

I have three cups filled with strips of paper. In the first cup are names of animals; in the second cup are adjectives; and in the third cup are names of colors. Tom came up with the animals and adjectives. Each day, I am taking out one word from the animal cup, one word from the adjectives cup, and two colors from the colors cup. Then I have one hour to create a small illustration (the size of a larger index card) based on what I get out of the cups. I am hoping to do this every day for a long time…we shall see!
Today’s assignment: a well-dressed snapping turtle in green and black.

What a great project idea. That explains the prodigous output. But…the high quality is just amazing. Even with the guidelines (animal, colors, etc) how can you do a great professional-looking drawing and color it..daily? Amazing.
